With the Onboard app, help is just a tap away. The SOS function makes it easy and quick to get in touch with the right rescue authorities wherever you are on the water. Your safety is our priority.

In case of an accident, you can activate SOS directly from the app's nautical chart. The feature automatically sends your location and important profile information to Joint Rescue and Coordination Center who coordinates the assistance. In addition, a call will be made automatically, directly to the emergency services.

For iOS users, the SOS feature is also available as a quick-menu so you can get help even faster. With this feature, you don't have to look in the app — help is always at your fingertips.

The SOS function has been developed in close collaboration with Danish Maritime Authority (Søfartsstyrelsen) and JRCC. This means you can trust that the help is professional and effective — and accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or certificates.

Using Onboard, you don't need radio certificates or specific courses to be able to contact emergency services. We make it easy for anyone to call for help and share their position with the authorities - quickly and efficiently.
